S T R E N G T H S +Supernatural Abilities. As a vampire slayer, Phoenix possesses enhanced strength, durability, stamina, senses, speed, reflexes and healing well above the average human. He also possesses prophetic dreams. +Rare Lineage. Nobody knows about male slayers, it was noted when the Watcher's Council was formed, however became nothing more than merely a myth as the years progressed. Therefore Phoenix can use this unknown element to his advantage to catch people off guard. +Athletic. Phoenix is the co-captain of the football team, therefore is regarded as possessing a high level of athleticism and fitness. +Natural Charm. Phoenix does have a way for words and knows how to charm people when he wants to. However he can be seen as an arrogant jerk, using words to get what he wants and charming people. +Confidence. What is there not to be confident about? Phoenix is just another young man enjoying the perks of his status, and the way he comes over in front of people shows this side of him. Even when he is in a difficult situation, he will still see light in the situation and be confident. +Fearless. Although he may fear some things, Phoenix won't show fear to other people as he sees it as a sign of weakness. He does fear what will be coming after him because of his new gifts, though. +Pretty-Boy. He has the look of a young man who couldn't win a fight if his life depended on it, but this is far from the truth. Although he prefers to shy away from that area, he does have the natural instinct within him. Due to having the 'pretty-boy' look, he doesn't have much difficulty in getting noticed. +Fighting Capabilities. Unbeknownst that he would become a slayer, Phoenix had undertaken kick boxing and mui-tai. He learned how to attack with his hands, and feet viciously, therefore having fine-tuned knowledge of how to take down opponents. This makes his fighting style rather unique to the general slayer. +His Heart. His heart is one of his most lethal weapons. When he sets his heart on something, he will have the thirst and desire to reach the goal or target, showing more resiliency than ever. +Adventurous. He enjoys an adventure, and the 'thrill' that comes along with the adventure. He is always up for a challenge or something outside of his comfort zone, in most cases, that is. W E A K N E S S E S +Deception. When someone uses his emotions against him, Phoenix can be quite easily deceived or manipulated. If he lets down his guard by trusting someone, he doesn't show much caution in terms of seeing another agenda in them. +Impatient. Phoenix isn't usually one to enjoy waiting for a long period of time. If he is interested or keen in doing something, he prefers to take part in it right away rather than wait, what he deems as 'pointless time.' In many ways, he prefers to live every moment of life to the fullest, there's no point beating around the bush. +Easily Swayed to Evil. Due to being a male slayer, having a more powerful demon essence, Phoenix can be more easily swayed to evil than the female slayer, due to the demon essence within. +Reckless. Due to his adventurous personality, Phoenix inadvertedly jumps into situations without analysing them and thinking in a practical sense. This is one of his major flaws which although at times may give him the spontaneous edge, usually leads him into more trouble than he can handle. +Overconfident. In his mind he has it all, and it does go to his head from time to time. He doesn't very many things as a 'threat' to him and believes he can handle any situation he is put in with ease. He usually overestimates a situation. +Trust. Trust isn't something that comes naturally to Phoenix. You have to earn Phoenix's trust, because he doesn't trust people easily. +Isolated. Although he has all the perks of popularity, he feels like he can't relate to everyone else all the time. Especially now that he has become even more different to his friends, this time physically. He doesn't know how to communicate his problems with those he can trust, and doesn't even know if he should, for his own sake. +Girls. Like most guys, Phoenix is a sucker for the good-looking girl with the bubbly personality and the irresistible smile. He has great difficulty trying to resist 'going there' but a lot of the time there is very little he can do. He is a guy, after all. +Schoolwork. This is an area he doesn't excel in, merely because he does lack motivation and focus most of the time. He doesn't have the patience to read the literature or to take some time to actually do the homework. That's what smart friends are for, right? +Swimming. He never learned to swim and has an innate fear of drowning. L I K E S +Competition. Whether friendly or not so friendly competition, Phoenix thrives off of it. He likes competing with others, mostly to prove that he can best them. There is almost an addicting thrill that comes from competition. +Girls. What guy doesn't? He likes watching them, their smile, their body, kissing them. Everything. This is a department he doesn't need much help in. +His Friends. They are everything to him. He enjoys hanging out with them more than anything else, except maybe football. They always make the day that much more enjoyable. He values friendship a lot. +Humour. Humour is one way to befriend Phoenix, he is a sucker for a good ol' laughing session. He is all about having a good time, so of course he is going to enjoy laughing. +Music. He loves switching on the techno styled music and jamming to the beat. Music is motivation for him, and in many ways it also inspires him. He wouldn't be able to enjoy the day without music. +Working Out. Although he possesses that natural slayer strength, his body doesn't work itself out on its own. Even before becoming a slayer, he enjoyed working out to make sure he was in top condition for the game. +Action Movies. He loves them! The action is usually thrilling and exciting. It might have something to do with the action he gets in real life, he'll never know. +Partying. He enjoys hitting the night life with his friends and showing off to other people and have a good time. Because he has high social status, the parties are always raving and not the boring ones. +Sketching. He enjoys drawing, and like swimming, is quite good at it. He can draw most things accurately from his imagination. D I S L I K E S +Life Lessons. One thing he hates more than anything is lectures about how he should be living his life or doing things, which are commonly given by teachers and parents. They are real drainers and just ruin his mood. He will live life the way he wishes to. +Rejection. In his mind, this is something hard to come by for him, but when he does come by it, it hits him hard. Although he may jokingly brush it off, he cannot stand rejection more than anything else. It makes him feel inferior and like he isn't worth anything. +Boring People. Yawn. He can't stand being around these people for long periods of time. He likes laughing and enjoying life, not being drained by life stories or people who need to be hit over the head with the humour stick. Is it that hard to laugh every now and then? +Being Different. Although the perks of his newfound strengths are appealing to him, he doesn't entirely enjoy having this burden and having to hide it from his friends for sake of embarrassment. He had it all when he was just another popular young man, it was good enough like that. +Losing. He prides himself on his competitive nature over most other things, and when he loses, he hates it because he feels like it let himself down. H I S T O R Y Phoenix Wolfe was born in Midnight Harbour on July 3rd, 2000. He received a younger brother two years later, which changed the dynamic of his family as he had to look out for someone and not be the only child. His family were well off compared to others, but by no means 'rich' in the strictest sense. His mother worked as a waitress until she had him, when she decided to stay at home and care for her child while he grew up. His father worked in real estate and developed properties and sold them. His father was good at budgeting money correctly, ensuring the family was well maintained. Phoenix therefore grew up with many luxuries which he was able to enjoy. However he soon learned the most priceless luxury was one he could never regain. His mother died in what his father had once described as a 'brutal' car accident when Phoenix was only eight years old. For that reason, he hasn't got any vivid memories of his mother; only what he remembers. All he had to go on was that of what his father had told him, which really wasn't much as his father hated speaking of his mother because it brought up too many painful memories. Phoenix really had nothing to go on in regards to his mother growing up, except the memorys. His life changed for the worse after that incident. His father, who was usually social and loving turned slightly bitter and really showed the impact his mother's death had on his father's wellbeing. He would begin drinking, usually excessively causing him to pass out on the couch. Axel would have nightmares, for at least a month after her death. Phoenix therefore had to look after his younger brother a lot more than usual. His father did try his best to comfort the children, but seeing Phoenix in this state brought up many painful memories of his own, and he hated it. This is where Phoenix did gain much of his independence from, as he didn't have the support he needed from his father at such a young age dealing with this traumatic event. He did have his brother, who was his saving grace, and they grew stronger because of the event. During school, Phoenix wasn't the brightest of students, but teachers did recognize that he had a smart mind, he just wasn't using it to its best potential. He lacked the motivation or drive to do well in school, but he did well enough to get decent grades. What he did have, however, were friends, based on his natural charisma which drew people to him. This was a good way of forgetting his home life and his mum's passing, which still affected him. Another thing which blocked out his home life and unleashed some of his anger was doing mui-tai classes on the side every week since he was six. His father thought it would be a good thing for him with all that he had gone through. After enjoying the classes, Phoenix took up kick boxing when he was twelve, by which time he was fairly skilled in mui-tai. He needed to keep busy, and over-exerting himself in hobbies was a good way of doing that. When he was early into his life as a fifteen year old, he begun having dreams about mysterious creatures, crosses, pain, blood and chaos. He didn't understand them, but after a while they really got to him. Axel wasn't concerned, just assuming he was suffering a case of bad dreams, and that trip to the haunted house with friends where unbeknownst to him at the time he slayed a vampire with a broken piece of wood, was coming back to haunt him. He still continued to be a jerk and hang around with the popular crowd, where he begun seeing the head cheerleader at that time He was feeling more headstrong and although he missed his mother, he was moving on and focusing on his life. It was around this time the new year at school started and he was nominated as co-captain alongside one of the other football players. It was good, something fresh for him. He liked the recognition, just wasn't sure how he was going to fit in as a leader for the team. ___________________________________________ Opening the screechy gate of the cemetery, he begun to walk inside, curiously looking around at the dim sky, and the graves which he was now seeing surround him. There were many of them; this cemetery wasn't as big as the ones back in Miami it seemed, however he could still see himself getting rather lost in here quickly. Why was he even here? To most, walking through a cemetery full of graves at night was either weird, dull or exciting. It was neither of those for him however; it just felt strangely natural. Not because he was some kind of freak who digs up graves or anything...Well he did that once, but there was good reason for that! It was mainly his sister's idea anyway, nothing to do with him whatsoever. He was just along for the ride, like most times. Walking deeper in, he begun to look around more closely, holding the stake in his right hand, ready to nail a vampire in the heart who tries to get some sort of suspenceful edge over him. That wasn't going to happen if he had anything to do about it. He had reflexes like spiderman and eyes like a hawk. Well...Not really, but he liked to think so, it made walking through a cemetery filled with hell knows what and one which he wasn't familiar with, that bit more reassuring. For all he knew, this could be a cemetery full of demons with super powers and fire breathing dragons. Well, the odds of that happening were as dim as the light in the cemetery, but there was nothing wrong with overexaggerating things. Especially when it came to the defining moment when he realized there were only vampires existing in this cemetery. And that would be where the fun begins. He continued walking, pausing as he heard some weird noises nearby; weird, even for him. He looked over curiously, noticing a vampire clawing its' way out of a grave. He smiled softly, leaning against another headstone, flicking the stake against his chest as he waited, appearing bored by his expression. When in fact, he was restless and was ready to fight. It was weird, he had given up on the slaying thing, but after doing it again, it just felt natural and oddly...Right. He didn't know how to explain it, and didn't even know if he could explain it. He got off of the grave as the vampire finally dug its way out of the grave. Action time. "You know, I've seen idiots dig their way out of bigger holes than you. And you have super strength, don't you?" He sighed softly, moving foward as the vampire looked on at him, confused and nervous at the same time. "Who are you?" He chuckled softly. "Doesn't matter, you're not going to be alive to tell anyone. Sorry, I mean you're not going to be...Undead much longer? I dunno, I haven't done this whole expedition through the cemetery lately, you're going to have to catch me up to speed." The vampire lunged foward, and he blocked a fist with his elbow, punching the vampire in the face before nailing a roundhouse kick to the vampire's gut, sending him to the floor. "I get it, you just crawled all the way out of your own grave, I'll go easy on you, I promise... He smirked, the vampire kicking him in the gut, and tripping him to the ground. He blocked a strike to his neck, kicking the vampire away from him. He got back to his feet, striking the vampire in the jaw with a fist, before turning and sending the stake straight through the vampire's heart. Style points for tonight? None, so hopefully the next one would be better. rhys. twenty two. eight years roleplaying. |
