Driving down the streets, he smiled gently as he looked around at what was going to be his new home. But how long was it for, this time? He had a home, he was living in London with his mother until he was five, but then he had a new home, and a new family too and they were great. And now, his family had changed, and he was now in California of all places, which happened to be the center of evil, apparently. And he was just so excited. Not for being in the center of evil thing, he was terrified of that. No, he was excited because it was a change. One thing he had learned was that he got bored of the same place after a while and needed something fresh, something to revitalise his mind and his creative juices. Though judging by the size of this town, how many days was it going to take before he was bored? He did have hope though, he really wanted it to work here. He had a lot to prove, that he could handle it here despite everything happening and that he wasn't afraid of all of this stuff and that he could end up becoming a watcher in the future. He wanted to be like his father, work in the council as a high up watcher. Though there was no council at the moment, but they could make a new one. A bigger and better one, which is more resourceful than the previous. He had a dream, and he had faith it would come to life sometime soon. It had to.
He borrowed his sister's car, it was what he always loved about her so much, how she was so nice to him and just trusted him with this responsibility. Most of the time anyway. Like all sisters, she could be bossy and annoying in a girl way, but he just got used to it, and learned to understand her ways, because it just meant she loved him and wanted the best for him. And he was going to continually promise her that he wouldn't smash it, especially since he didn't have a job at the moment which could help him pay off the repair money if that nightmare did happen. He would make sure it wouldn't. If there was one thing he was good at, it was keeping his word. Especially with his sister.
He parked the car and got out and walked down the docks, where he found himself a pier which seemed to be pretty isolated and away from everyone. He closed his eyes, the cold breeze brushing over his hair, causing hair to move over his eyes. He brushed the hair away from his hands, as he opened his eyes again and looked around, admiring the view and the smell of the sea. It really was beautiful, words couldn't explain it. He never expected he would find himself being happy in a place like this. But there was so much he didn't know about this place, this was just one of those many wonders he had got the privilege of exploring. As long as he didn't do any side-tours of the hell mouth, he should be fine.
