Azrael was surprised at how many people had turned up for his little event. He'd set his tendrils out into the inner-workings of the dark side of Midnight Harbour, reaching out to various vampires and other demonic creatures, telling them to spread the word of his little meeting tonight. They'd all been very quick to obey, Azrael's reputation had a tendency to precede him and even despite that, he gave off such an air of dominance and authority that it would seem foolish to try and disobey him.
Infront of him amassed a good twenty to thirty various vampires and demons and other....things he couldn't quite place. It wasn't anywhere near what he would need if he was going to be successful in his takeover of the town, but it was a start atleast, and he could work with it.
At the moment the room was alive with noise, various conversations and grunts between the creatures filled the air as Azrael simply stood at the forefront, leaning back against the crate behind him, his icy blue eyes watching the crowd, sparks of red seen flickering occasionally as thoughts raced through his mind. He would need strength, he would need numbers, but even more than that, he would need trusted lieutenants, people who could look over the general mass of his army for him while he handled things he personally needed to do, and quality henchmen to the caliber he needed were few and far between.
"You're probably wondering why I brought you all here today..." He began, although the deafening roar of conversation around him didn't seem to slow in the slightest. Anger gripped his features as he reached outwards with his right hand, closing it around the throat of the nearest creature he could find, which happened to be a vampire. An audible snap could be heard in the room as the vampire burst into dust within his hand due to Azrael crushing his spinal column in his grip. Silence immediately came over the abandoned warehouse.
"You're probably wondering why I brought you all here today..." He repeated, his eyes blazing a brilliant bloodred for a moment before he calmed himself once more. "You are all unorganized, you're sloppy, and you're untrained...." He paused, giving it a moment to sink in. "I don't tell you this to insult you, I tell you this because it is true. There is a reason why we hide in the shadows, why we scurry like rats, hiding from the cats that chase us, the Slayers, the Watchers, the Hunters, the reason why they continue to plague us is because we simply do nothing about it. Sure a group or two may try and do something occasionally, but it is never in a disciplined and precise manner." He had begun pacing at this point, his arms crossed over his chest and his right hand scratching at the scruff around his chin absent-mindedly, he was obviously in deep thought as he spoke.
"We are on the cusp of a new age, ladies, gentlemen, and....things. We are going to make this town ours in such a way that it shall never recover again, this will be the headquarters and beginning of our new empire. You may ask yourself, why should we follow you? What makes you so better than any of us? Well... I'll tell you exactly what makes me better. I am better. I am nearly two thousand years old, have seen and experienced things many of you never will, there is not a single one of you in this room who can challenge me, and if any wish please step forward..."
He trailed off, looking up to the crowd again, seeing if anyone would accept his challenge, to which none did expectedly.
"It is going to take time and patience.... vampires, your main goal will be to turn every single person you can find. We need an army and we need numbers, no more of this feeding until full and draining the person dry, you turn them every time. Not only normal citizens, but the leaders in this town as well. We need the Mayor and the City Council members, the local representative, any person of influence and power in this town needs to become one of our own. We will take them slowly and without their notice, until we outnumber them, and we will crush them.
"Demons... I need you to recruit your brethren, bring them into our fold. I don't give a damn if your clans hate each other, because now we're all the same clan, we're all the same family.
"I am also looking for generals to help lead my army, these need to be acceptional individuals that know how to lead and know how to kill. I will provide combat training to every single one of you, and trust me, many of you desperately need it. You will learn how to fight like warriors, or you will die. There is no room for weakness in my army. I am your leader, your father, your one and only guide from this point. I am your Dominus and you will refer to me as such, discipline will be our key to winning."
He stood there silent for a moment watching them, taking in their reactions to his words. So far it had been good, he'd only been forced to kill one of them, which was typically low for any meeting directed by Azrael. He seemed to be lost in thought for a good moment, before finally waving his hand at the collective group, "Dismissed..."
He turned back towards the crate, a few lists of various figureheads in the town laying before him. He knew it was only a matter of time before he was approached, this was the time when the generals in the group would make themselves known and offer their services.
